Chase Klugh

Director of Preservation


A native of Commerce, Georgia, Chase joined the Historic Natchez Foundation in 2018. Chase holds a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Anthropology and a Master in Historic Preservation from the University of Georgia. As Director of Preservation at HNF, Chase oversees and is involved in daily preservation decisions including tax credit projects, preservation consultation, National Register nominations, and other preservation related matters. Chase previously worked for the Historic Rural Churches of Georgia project as public relations and social media manager. His research interests include architectural history, social media and technology influence in preservation, and building materials conservation. He serves on the board of the Mississippi Heritage Trust.
