Sarah Owen joined HNF as an architectural historian in 2022. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English and history from Millsaps College and has completed the coursework for her master’s of historic preservation at the University of Georgia. In 2022, Sarah earned her LEED Green Associate Certification. Sarah works on preservation programs, including tax credit projects, preservation consultation, National Register nominations, and other preservation-related matters.
Before working at HNF, Sarah worked in the nonprofit sector. She has almost two years of professional grant writing experience. She also served as an AmeriCorps member and interned for the Green Building Alliance in Pittsburgh, PA through the Student Conservation Association’s Green Cities Sustainability Fellowship program. Sarah is passionate about the intersection of sustainability, community health, and preservation.
