Nicole Harris is the curator for the Historic Natchez Foundation. A Louisiana native, she received her undergraduate degree in anthropology from the University of Louisiana and her master’s degree in anthropology from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Nicole has taught at the university level and has experience managing and curating archaeological collections and in grant writing and management. In addition, she worked at the LSU Forensic Anthropology and Computer Enhancement Services Lab (FACES) for 9 years building the Louisiana Repository for Missing and Unidentified Remains while assisting with forensic anthropology cases throughout the state of Louisiana. Before that, Nicole worked in various states doing archaeological investigations throughout the South.
Currently Nicole is working on reorganizing the foundation’s extensive collections as well as cataloguing all collections and research material using PastPerfect, the museum field’s leading software.
