Mississippi Heritage Trust Preservation Toolkit Workshop in Biloxi

Join the Mississippi Heritage Trust and instructors Mike Grote and Jonathan Leit with Alembic Community Development of New Orleans to learn to demystify the real estate development process. In addition to sharpening their pencils to master real estate calculations, participants will work with seasoned developers to learn how to assess the development potential of historic buildings and explore successful rehabilitation projects. A key component of the workshop will be to help participants understand how incentives like tax credits are used to close the funding gap and bring historic places back to life. For this more advanced workshop, participants will prepare a pro forma for a rehabilitation project in Biloxi.

This Preservation Toolkit workshop will also serve as an approved CLG training opportunity for Mississippi CLG coordinators.
