Youth Photovoice Contest

The Natchez/Adams County Civil Rights Project and Health Impact Assessment are sponsoring a Youth Photovoice Contest through September 18, 2019. 36 prizes are available, ranging from $20 to $500! Participants, ages 12-18, are invited to submit up to 2 original photos taken in Natchez-Adams County that reflect on either or both of the following questions:

1. What is a place or experience that reflects local Natchez-Adams County civil rights history?
2. What is a place or experience that reflects local Natchez-Adams County civil rights issues today (for example, social justice, artistic expression, violence, privacy issues, health)?

This opportunity provides an incentivized way for youth in the Natchez/Adams area to get engaged with their local history and learn in an expressive/meaningful way. The button below provides a downloadable PDF of information necessary for entering the contest.
